 Youth day was celebrated by Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashrama, Kotma in a modest way. Prabhat Pheri (Morning Procession) was organized by the students from nearby villages. Nearly 250 students participated in the procession, which was a remarkable thing in itself, considering the fact that 12th January being a Sunday. Procession began from Vivekananda Chhatravas, Khonu at 8.00 o’ clock and reached Rashtriya Primary School, Kotmaat 9.00 O’clock.
Function wasattended by District Disaster Management Officer, Mrs. Meera Kentura of Rudraprayag district.

-> Saraswati Vandana and Opening Song by Students of Saraswati Shishumandir.
-> Inauguration of ‘Gargi Chhatravas’, a Girls’ hostel for the students of area.
-> Speeches on ‘Swami Vivekananda’ by the students.
-> Cultural performances by the students.
-> Address by Mrs. Meera Kentura, Dr. Tulsidasji, and Sri. Devashali Sir.
Program was concluded by the oath given to the students in which they confessed that they will refrain from smoking, drinking or eating tobacco. This was followed by the distribution of Prasad to all. |
